Absence

The leaves decay and fall on the ground,
And the once known path becomes a forgotten pile,
The river withers and leaves no trail,
The birds have flown away,
In search of better lives.
The Sun has left and the warmth is gone,
Life is lost in a long way home,
The darkness comes in darker hues,
None welcome it, like an abandoned child.
It is not loved or chosen,
But it is a child of Nature,
It inspires a few undaunted,
And leaves the rest blind,
Those who care not and whine,
Stuck in the same frame.

I grant you life, I grant you freedom,
But you are incapable of life now,
While I have nothing, no one,
No love, no care, no chains,
Only a bittersweet romance with Time,
And in time, with you.
In my absence, you will grow,
In my love you will wander far,
In my life you will gain its absence,
Only to be eternal,
And you will know,
To be eternal.

Minimal Pace

A distant run;
Alone, uncertain, uncharted;
Anxiety fills up,
Drowning the fears,
The world watches
Or sleeps;
The day begins to run,
Show-time, the real grind,
Forward and far,
A distant run;
Feet tapping on the road,
The earth greeting you with force,
Like men deserve to live.
It frees my hindrances.
Heart beats cruise, vision clears,
The road flows beneath,
No more waste, no more wait,
The familiar ground is past,
It lies behind.
Cannot turn,
Picking up momentum,
Surroundings drown,
A rhythm rise,
So does unknown pain,
Shortage of air,
I am drowning in air.
Must stop,
Retrospect,
Become enriched;
A new energy surge,
An old reckoning,
Primitive, hungry,
Pain recurs,
So does focus,
Undying will,
Reasons fade,
Just the road and me,
Run fast, run far,
The pain was temporary,
But necessary;
Spirit restructured,
Drenched in strength,
The way to live.
The difficult, conquered.
Lesson learnt alone,
Obstacles did not grow,
Only the strength to rise beyond them
Became bigger;
Some get everything,
Born in it all,
Others strive and get,
And history is written,
At minimal pace.

Bullets and Bandages

The highest scores would not matter now,
When lessons learnt were tossed and burnt,
The money you make will get you far,
And when life is spent, you can repent;

You failed to open your eyes and live,
The raging storm that you try to calm,
The withered pieces of broken time,
Searching to hide the pain inside;

Those tiring days without a smile,
You hoped it cured but you endured,
That silver line, when washed the grey,
You hoped would stay but it slipped away;

Latch onto a living soul
Next to you, though untrue,
Falsify your living state,
To sing a song that you belong;

Try to hide that vicious self,
Extend your arm for silent harm,
Your empty self has not matured,
You've had your chance for true romance;

Kill that show and look inside,
When all is lost that does not cost,
Or look where you are, your life is not
Those faces around with layered sounds;

You hope for a refill, at a wrong place,
Like waves at a beach, you wished to reach,
Reality dawns a little too late,
You miss those days to choose your ways;

Feelings fly, the mind has leaked,
That ship has sailed and you've failed,
You ignored to work hard then,
Now time and tide are not on your side;

The days went by like silent nights,
Your heart beats stop, 'cause there's no prop,
The effort was brave but the soul untrue,
Not built to last, but that is past;

Moving ahead and hoping is tough,
Clinging to a place, to spend your days,
Trying to figure or not trying at all,
Must be left behind where you cannot find;

The canvas is empty, the day is done,
The coffee's cold, down goes the sun,
My thoughts are numb, the dark crawls in,
My life feels strained, the chances thin.

Sorrow's deeper when its borne,
Worked so hard that I cannot go on,
Hope is a soldier's road to home,
My feelings are homeless as they roam;

I've been there and you can cry,
But happiness is not just meant to die,
The struggle forward must rise a fire,
And that exists what you desire;

I Propose My Purpose

A thousand miles between us,
Yet we travel together,
Time connects or breaks us,
Like day follows the night;
I yearn to grow together,
To live by being one,
Life without you is senseless,
Directionless and devoid of dreams;
Only I can complete you,
Because you move with me,
Only I can define this infinite,
A love that becomes more,
A passion that replenishes itself,
An obsession build to last;
But I hide it from the surface,
In the dark crevices of my mind,
Where light cannot reach or be emitted,
As it remains illuminated,
Like a greater source of energy,
Like god in human form,
A dream to be tasted for later,
A gift to be unwrapped together,
Do you know what it is?
It is Hope.
That which lights my way;
I hide my thoughts from the world,
I am not strong enough
To carry that life on my shoulders,
I do not want to be so weak,
Ashamed at me, when I meet you,
So I build myself, my mind, my body,
I forge my character in black and gold,
I drown in the depths of bluish hues,
I fall and rise as I climb,
My peril teaches me,
My difficulties build me,
And my struggles fuel me,
Through all this I hope and believe
My character defines me;
I cannot let go now,
I cannot give you up,
We must be together,
One day you will realize,
That I have existed for you,
My love has been for you,
My life has been for you,
Until that moment of time,
When I will be sure and complete,
Let this remain a tribute to you,
Let this guide you to me,
Faster than I travel to you,
My mind is set and body ready,
To take up the challenge and rise,
Or take it to my grave,
To you my fire, my love my Purpose.

To the best in us.

Fare Thee Well

Raindrops falling, soaking me wet,
Feelings are alike, leave behind what you get,
Emotions are burning, feels hollow inside,
My tears are for memories, I can no longer hide;

I try to collect all the pictures framed within,
A longing to return to all the places I've been,
With the pain of letting go, after I've played my part,
I'll leave to be free; so I rise to depart

And I'll be gone, I'll be gone,
When was the last time you looked inside my eyes;
All along I traveled alone,
I am tough but can you not see my silent cries;

Raindrops falling, calming my mind,
Moments are closing, I've lost track of time,
A life spent behind me, a long way to go,
With you here and now I, want Time to slow;

I don't want to return, I don't want to go back now,
I wish to stay forever more, only if I just knew how,
Maybe I'm not where I dreamed, maybe you deserved the best of me,
Maybe you cannot see, neither am I where used to be;

And I'll depart, for another start,
Let my good times be remembered as a gift to you,
Letting you go was the hardest part,
Let me fade and shed my light on something new;

Until we meet again,
Let your dreams come true,
And just like the rain,
Let it be a part of you,
As raindrops are falling,
Soaking me wet;
Live like the rainbow,
Until the sun sets.

The Planet's Infiltration

Dear resolute and purposeful men,
In a world where hope is dimming,
Listen and speak between the phrases,
I hope your minds are hearing;

Walking the earth for a thousand years,
Happy and contempt unlike yourself,
Alienated by my folk,
‘Cause I take pride in myself;
The people interest me no more,
They despise my mind, my condition,
For spreading reason and happiness,
I’m the planet’s infiltration;

Too many audience, few performers,
They are running a barren show,
We love getting entertained,
Our problems leave us nowhere to go;
Staring at the screen or the nukes in hand,
It is the same addiction,
For not following their kind blindly,
I’m the planet’s infiltration;

The world lives scared and tied like huddle,
Loathing change and rise of reason,
A system of chains with useless links,
Adapting like the change of seasons;
Knowledge and skills are working well,
But for them there exists competition,
small step is a long road to climb,
To destroy this infiltration;

Despite the odds and against it,
Only the solitary unseen tries,
Our kind is the architect of our failure,
Ask me how a hero dies;
Living in a crowded mindless soup,
Watching heroes working in the background,
Seeing our future so very clearly,
Some destroy while some are bound;

No one wants to see the way you do,
Don’t waste yourself for the nation,
Strive above the common tide,

Signed – the planet’s infiltration.

Grad Life Rap (The worst rap ever)

I remember the time I got in, to be a grad
Spending a lot of money, it made me sad,
Those times were bad, my future insecure,
Until I reached the grad-life door,
New faces, new work, new hopes, new life,
A robot working from ten to five,
Life was a line, the routine was new,
It was under control, distractions were few,
Thought I’d learn something better and useful,
Apply it; rise up, the dream was pretty cool,
But dreams have a habit of getting worse,
And real fast too, like under a curse;

One wrong step, I saw my dreams die,
I was lazy not to make another try,
It was my fault and I don’t know why
I failed to check it and then time flew by;
Instead of the driver, I blamed the ride,
And thus began my downhill slide,
Though I got back up, it was on the wrong side,
My boat was caught in the grad-tide.

Slowly I started enjoying myself,
Working with others eager to help,
Things began moving, starting to flow,
It opened my mind, ready to know,
It changed my way of looking at life,
I was happy living the ten to five,
Took up challenges, new or faced,
Learnt to get a bit more stressed,
Things were smoother than at first,
But slowly my ideas started to rust,
As I got bound in the given frame,
Left the ride, began cursing the lane;

While everyone ran, I started to slow,
Forcing my mind, unwilling to go,
Results were out; I had nothing to show,
Things were hard because I thought it so;
It’s sad when you look at life that way,
Instead of knowing what you've gained,
Live the moments, don’t sum each day,
I think you know what I want to say.

You learn the most from those you meet,
Scavenging, bunking and how to cheat,
Though some are true and stay till the end,
The rest treat you how you treat them,

There are those working lies and deceit,
Fork-tongued people trying to chew every bit,
Many faced, geek heads, excited or half-dead,
Wasted days, hangover in bed,
Sad souls, lost art, daily depressed,
Going-out-freak, always ready to get dressed,
Unstable, unclear or a museum relic,
And those who make you feel happy or sick,
Ignorant, arrogant, joker or lazy,
Fake lovers, simple, stupid or crazy,
Wicked minds trying to be overly mature,
Playing every side of the human nature;

You could study them all or let them go by,
Don’t stop worrying or let time fly,
And at the end when the end is nigh,
Get depressed, complain or get high;
However life was, it was made by me,
You can never take this part of my memory,
However I rise, whatever I’ll be,
It will be the pages of my history;

Whatever you do, don’t come to me,
Tell me I didn't warn you or blame somebody,
High or low, that’s what you’ll be,
Because it’s tough getting a college degree.

Disconnected

You can forget me,
I will not mind.
For today I,
Reached the bottom,
After hitting the ground;
Slipped and fell,
Descending for years;
I know it for sure,
I've never been so far
Down from the top;
No sign of life,
No existence of time,
Only way now is up.
Back to basics;
Hard work will help,
So will consistency,
Hunger to rise,
To emerge;
Not in this world,
To the one I crave,
The one I want to create,
And I will.
Thus it starts,
From this time on,
This is day one,
No days off.
The time is right,
The fear is gone,
My will is strong,
Purpose is sure.
That’s all I need,
Now, I can smile.

Let The Sun Rise

Subdue those feelings in my heart,
I’ll be fine if I look away,
Capture those moments making you smile,
Losing them somewhere on my way;
Oh! All the broken hearts afloat,
Sailing in the river tracing boat,
Going somewhere you’re not sure,
Let the sun rise just once more,
I can never tell you how I feel,
Never to meet if another life be real,
Watching the sun set, all alone,
Let the sun rise just once more;

Smiling though your heart is in pain,
Hiding those tears in the rain,
Guilt is greater than your shame,
People don’t remember your name;
And in the evening of our days,
When we've lost our choice of ways,
So when I greet you at your door,
Let the sun rise just once more;
For the life you never chose to be,
When our deeds flow down the sea,
As the sun sets by that shore,
Let the sun rise just once more;

Forgotten moments that I've lived,
Moments I don’t wish to keep,
Dreams of things I wanted to gain,
From which I've willingly abstained,
For circumstances are adverse in life,
The hero always struggles to rise,
At the darkness of its core,
Let the sun rise just once more;
Keep the joy of knowing you’re alive,
Making something out of this life,
Meeting you when I explore,
Let the sun rise just once more.

In The End

As the day comes to a close,
Sunlight fades to a golden glow,
Rising darkness emerging slow,
Time has paused in its flow,
And my soul is not willing to go,
Lost a friend, not long ago;
Sitting by his side, the silence speaks,
While he rests peacefully underneath,
The voices playing inside my head,
Too bold to lead, too meek to spread,
Slowly consuming a part of me,
As I close my eyes, forget reality;
Trying to capture the memories shared,
I feel them slipping, I had not cared
To preserve them, and now I find myself
Wanting to wake my friend and ask for help,
And I realize, although I didn’t see,
It was the only thing that he left me;
Sadness grows as I rise to depart,
Tears are only for the weakest heart,
I cannot cry, that sense is gone,
With a hollow heart I must carry on,
Filled with regret for the moments lost,
Waiting to fathom what the priceless cost,
Should’ve given more time, he was a good friend,
Only if I’d known what lay in the end.
